Ups connection parameters

Complete information about UPS type and connection.

UPS name: symbolic name of the UPS.

PRTK code: you must set UPS type by the Protocol key, which is shipped with UPS.

UPS Serial number: the UPS have unique serial number, which is used for identify of UPS. In this edit box must to typed nonempty serial string printed on UPS identification label.
Note: this is important for correct cooperation with teleservice program.

UPS connection: way to connect UPS.
One possibility is local connection. For this you must select correct serial port and UPS address (only for UPS with SENTR communication protocol). Other parameters for serial connection (how baud speed and similar) is automatically adjusted for selected UPS type.
Second possibility is remote connection via network. For this you must specify IP address of computer or SNMP adapter, where is connected UPS and device number (usually 1).
Note: for Windows, Linux, Mac and Solaris version is also allowed USB communication by USB/UPS adapter.
Note: is allowed also to specify remote Upsagent or SNMP adapter location by host name (or DNS name).

Password protection: the remote communication through network can to be secured by password. If remote node have defined password, then same password must to be specified.

Remote sensor: it is possible to specify whether temperature, humidity and/or digital I/O sensors are associated with the SNMP adapter to which the remotely connected UPS is connected. This will make it possible to configure the sensors in the Remote sensor tab and activate the relative alarms.

System shutdown: you may specify parameters for system shutdown. Shutdown may to depend by time after AC Fail or if autonomy time of UPS is bellow than specified time. Of course if UPS send to computer signal Low battery (UPS is near to end backup) then Upsagent ignore specified times and start system shutdown procedure immediately.

UPS shutdown: defines if in case of a shutdown procedure of the server the UPS will be turned off.
